5 months!

Well I'm a little behind but better late than never right? :) Big Ben has changed so much this month! He now weighs 17 pounds and is 28 inches. He started on rice cereal this month and LOVES it! He is definitely a little mover and scoots and rolls all over the place. We're definitely going to have our hands full when he starts crawling! He is getting better at sitting up now. Pretty much not much has changed since last month. We are just enjoying this precious boy! Now for the good stuff...

4 months

Time sure does fly when you're having fun! Big Ben is now 4 months old. At his checkup he weighed 15 pounds 1 ounce and was 25 inches long! It's amazing how much he has grown just this month! He now sleeps from about 7pm to 7 am and doesn't really like naps. We have decided that he is more of a catnapper like his daddy! He has gotten very good at rolling and scooting around. He loves to put everything in his mouth and drools like crazy. Between drool and stinky formula spit up we must go through 5 bibs a day! It is so fun to see his little personality start to come out. He still is a loud talker ( like his mommy) and we joke that he sounds like he meows when he talks! We are so blessed to have this precious boy in our life! 3 months

I can't believe my little man is already 3 months! Big Ben now weighs in at 13 pounds 9 ounces and is 24 inches long. He is able to roll from his tummy to his back and back to tummy, scoot all around the floor, puts things(mostly his hands) in his mouth, grabs at toys in front of him, and loves to play with his feet! He is still a happy baby and sleeps well through the night...usually from 8-6. We are still working on good maps. He sleeps in his crib now and does really well. He loves to talk to us all the time...and he sure is a loud talker! He also giggles and laughs alot more now as you can see in the picture above. This month we got to visit with lots of people around town, celebrate Valentine's Day, watch the superbowl, and travel to Austin to watch Uncle Erik run the marathon. We've had a busy month! Here are a few pictures from the month.

2 months!

My little man has turned 2 months old and what fun it has been! He now weighs 12 pounds 5 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long! He can now roll from his tummy to his back, lift his head to look around, and follow us around with his eyes. The most fun has been him now laughing, smiling, and cooing at us. He sleeps from 10-5 pretty consistently but we are still working on a napping schedule! We found out this month he has food allergies to milk, soy, eggs, and nuts but that hasn't slowed him down! This month he celebrated his first Christmas which was fun but a little tiring! We took our first trip to aggieland as a family to show him where he'll be going to college! :) He also went on his first overnight trip to San Antonio for new years eve. We're able to get out with him and take him more places and he is great and usually just sleeps! What a wonderful month it has been! Here are a few more snapshots from the month!

One month old!

Benjamin is now one month old and I can't believe how fast this month has gone by! He now weighs 9 pounds 8 ounces( 2 pounds more than his birth weight) and is 21 inches! He still eats every 2-3 hours during the day and about every 4 hours at night. He is a curious little guy and loves to lift his head and look around. He loves to listen to people talk and make faces at them. He still sleeps a lot but when he is awake he is fairly easygoing like his daddy(except when he's hungry)! He gets the hiccups everyday still! He's such a cutie pie!

Labor of love

On November 22,2010 D-day arrived. We got to the hospital at 4 am and they induced me. After a very long day with 3 non working epidurals Benjamin was finally born at 6:57 pm! He weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches...much smaller than we had all expected! It was the most amazing (and tiring) day and we are so glad all of our family was there to share in it. Thank God for our perfect little boy!

Ben's nursery

Glen and I (mostly Glen) have been working hard to fix up Ben's nursery. Here are the before and after pictures! Mind you, it's still a work in progress but I am very happy with how it has come out! We still have just a few more things to put up on the walls. Now all we need is a little boy to complete it!
