dreaming of you!
So I keep having this reoccuring dream and I wanted to write it down before I forgot. I dream I'm standing in our kitchen cooking. All of a sudden I hear this man voice say, "Hey mom!" and I turn around and there is grown up Ben with his cute little girlfriend. I tell him I'm so glad he's home and give him a hug! I look him up and down...he looks just like his daddy but a bigger/ taller version...and then the dream ends. I wonder if this will be real life or not, but either way its fun to see my baby all grown up!

babymoon
As our to-do list was growing, our hours at work getting longer, and stress piling up Glen and I decided that our last free weekend in September would be a great time for a little mini-vacation. All this summer we were lucky enough to get to travel all over, so we decided for this we would stay close to home. It's getting more difficult for me to stay comfortable in the car for more than 30 minutes, so the woodlands resort was the perfect spot! We ate, swam in the amazing pool, relaxed, slept ALOT, and even went out for a little dinner date! It was the perfect getaway and just what we needed. Now I feel like we are ready for little man and got in one last weekend away for just the 2 of us! Here are a few pics!

A few of my favorite things!
Well pregnancy brings on some weird things. Here are a few items I haven't been able to live without the past few months.
- gummy prenatal vitamins-they're like candy in vitamin form! Considering I normally take Flintstones these things are wonderful and were a God send when anything I put in my mouth made me sick!
- pickled jalapenos- all I can say is YUM! I had some on pizza last week and they are AMAZING!! (insert joke about weird pregnancy cravings here)
- 5 million pillows- I sleep with 4 pillows nightly. My husband lovingly refers to these as the road block. All I can is they make sleep more comfortable and keep me from waking up quite as often!
- yoplait smoothies-these can be found in the frozen food section and are amazing! With all the fruit smoothies I was buying this is a much more economical choice and just as tasty!
- tums- with the nightly(scratch that-hourly) heart burn these are a must! I prefer the fruity version...they taste like sherbert to me!
- whataburger strawberry shakes and bluebell ice cream- nothing is better than ice cream when you are pregnant! Although I can't indulge on these all the time or else I'd be a big blimp... they are wonderful when I do!
- fruit roll ups- again all I can say is DELICIOUS!
All I can say is this boy is making me hungry all the time! You would think with all these eating I'd be 500 pounds by now! haha! :)

busy busy!
August brought us into the third trimester and also sent me back to work. I have been so busy getting things going at school it seems like that's all I have been doing the past few weeks! I'm excited for this school year because that means Ben is getting closer to being here! Here is a picture of me at 7 months almost 2 weeks pregnant(can't believe I'm already that big!!). I've finally gained 17 pounds and am now back to my pre-pregnancy weight (woohoo)! I also passed my glucose test which means I don't have Gestational Diabetes...also very exciting! I can't believe our countdown until Ben is double digits! We both get more excited everyday!
jumping belly
I've been trying to make video Ben kicking my belly. This video was the best I could get, you know he never kicks on demand! ;) He wasn't kicking too hard this time but you can see the little jumps my belly makes because of my big boy (about half way through the video). Pardon the pasty belly...I think it needs a tan! :)

OVERWHELMING!
So Glen and I went to Babies R Us yesterday to register. At first, we thought this would be fun and exciting...little did we know how overwhelming it is!! I knew we were gonna be in trouble when we started asking people for advice on what to get and half the stuff they said I knew nothing about! Then we arrived at the store and it only got worse! There was SO MUCH baby gear, things that I had never even heard of or knew existed! Who even knew there are like 10 types of bottles to choose from! By the end of the experience we both sat in the gliders in a baby gear coma. I think we both left the store dazed and even more confused than when we walked in. To tell you the truth, I don't even know half of the stuff we registered for! If Babies R Us was invented to put expectant parents into a panic, they certainly do their job well! Thank goodness for good friends who will go back with you and help you figure out the things you need. I knew having a baby could be overwhelming...but it's definitely not the baby that's overwhelming me! I think I'm gonna stay away from Babies R Us for a few weeks to recover from the experience!

Ben's almost twin :)
On August 6, 2010 my precious niece Scarlett Rose was born! She weighed in at 6 pounds 12 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long. I may be biased but she is the cutest little girl EVER! Ben is so lucky to have a cousin just a few months older than him. I can't wait to see these two together...and see what trouble they get into! I am now even more excited for Ben's arrival in a few months after seeing Erik and Ashley go through this amazing experience. Here is my BEAUTIFUL niece!
