Ben's nursery

Glen and I (mostly Glen) have been working hard to fix up Ben's nursery. Here are the before and after pictures! Mind you, it's still a work in progress but I am very happy with how it has come out! We still have just a few more things to put up on the walls. Now all we need is a little boy to complete it!

Here is the room before we got started. Note- we did not paint the room like this...it was this way when we moved in!

Paint choices!

Glen hard at work on the room...as always! :)

waitin' on our world to change...

After what seems like forever, Baby Ben will arrive sometime Monday. Last Monday I went to the doctor and was dilated 2 cm and having some pretty rough contractions. They also said he could weigh anywhere from 8-9 pounds...big boy!  She said if he didn't come on his own this week I would be induced on Monday morning. We have to go into the hospital at 4 am on Monday to get the process started. I am so stinking excited and can't wait to meet my baby boy! :) This is going to be the most amazing adventure and I'm so lucky to have Glen by my side to share in every step of the journey. We will be sure to post some pictures of baby boy when he makes his arrival! :)

Also, here's the latest ultrasound picture...it's kind of hard to see anything but his little face because he is so big!

gifts, gifts, and more gifts!

We have been so lucky to have been showered by gifts from the moment we found out we were pregnant! We also have been blessed by so many people wanting to throw us baby showers! We ended up having 5 baby showers total! I know...amazing, right?!?! October in the Tabor house was known as baby shower month! Thank you to everyone who has supported us. We truly are so lucky! Here are a few pictures from the events! Sorry there are not more...but I have to get pictures from some people! :)

funny stuff

Have you ever tried to help a pregnant woman get up? It's pretty funny and makes me feel like a turtle who has fallen on my back. It's sad when my husband has to help roll me over out of bed or lift me off the couch! What about have a pregnant woman touch her toes? Forget this! It makes things alot more difficult in life when you can't bend over. Thankfully for half of my time I have 24 anxious 6 year olds ready to help me! Speaking of my class, they have learned to give me lots of space after I accidentally knocked a kid over with my belly. Now they tell each other "Make some room for Mrs. Tabor and the baby!" How about the fact that I am ALWAYS hot and now have a personal fan I move around with me in my classroom. I would love the person who could invent the personal AC! And now my brain and emotional crying seem to be getting worse! And what about your constantly growing belly that is always itchy? I was scratching my belly the other day at school and one of my kids yells, "Mrs. Tabor don't! You're going to scratch the baby!" HAHA! :)  Oh pregnancy...you are soooo funny! ;)

a little scare

Well last Thursday was eventful!I woke up that morning and was sick to my stomach. Then at school I started having a lot of pain and pressure in my belly. Usually if this happens, sitting down and drinking some water will cure it. Well, that didn't work so I ended up having to leave work early and my mom took me to the doctor (thankfully she works with me!) The doctor said I was having contractions, but I was not in labor. Thankfully everything was okay. He told me if I start having more than 4 in an hour then I need to head to the hospital. I'm so glad everything was ok....little man needs to stay put and do some more cooking! It was definitely scary, but as always God takes care of us.

Babies Babies everywhere!

It seems like everytime I turn around I found out another person is pregnant! We have so many friends having babies right now...it's such an exciting time! I can't wait for this time next year when Ben has a ton of friends to play with! God is so good! :)
